FULL MOON PUPPET SHOW WORKSHOP: Pop-Up Book Stages

Pop-up books make magical stages. Each page reveals an entirely different scene and elicits a delighted gasp from the audience. You will learn the best ways to create these as performance spaces. During the workshop, you will create a step-by step mockup.

Teaching Artist Bio

Monica Leo has 50 years of experience as lead puppeteer with Eulenspiegel Puppet Theatre. One of her specialities is creating giant pop-up book stages for use with miniature rod marionettes and paper puppets. Since 1998, she has created five of these shows, each with a different stage. Eulenspiegel has performed in 31 states and four other countries. They run and maintain Owl Glass Puppetry Center in West Liberty, Iowa.
