COVID-19 Policy

In the theatre

Wearing a mask is appreciated in our space. The intimacy of our venue increases risk of transmission to other patrons and our artists, which could lead to illness and/or canceled performances.

We will require mask wearing in the following situations:

  1. When requested by the artists.

  2. For specially designated performances.

  3. When the CDC recommends mask wearing.

Current mask requirements will be clearly posted on the theatre door and a mask will be provided to you as needed.

Specific COVID guidelines for each production will be outlined on the show’s webpage.

We continue to follow protocols off-stage to help mitigate risk, keep shows onstage, and create a safe work environment for artists and staff. All artists are fully vaccinated and will perform unmasked with a minimum of 10 feet between artists and audience.

Protocols are regularly reviewed and updated based on current public health recommendations.

Outdoor performances

Masks will not be required outside.

Why is this policy necessary?
Taking this step ensures the safety of our audience members, staff, and the artists, and implementing this simple measure minimizes risk and the spread of the virus. All Open Eye staff and artists are fully vaccinated.

What are you doing to protect people from COVID-19?
In addition to rigorous cleaning and sanitation, we’ll be implementing all applicable health and safety protocols based on government and industry guidance. As guidelines evolve, we’ll keep you informed about the updated precautions we’re taking for the safety of all who enter the theatre.
