FULL MOON PUPPET SHOW WORKSHOP: Mini Masks: Roser's Paper Sculpture Methodology

Legendary puppeteer Albrecht Roser’s Paper Sculpture Technique has inspired artists all over the world. Join acclaimed puppeteer and Roser alumna Sarah Frechette for a hands-on workshop exploring how to discover expressive, sculptural characters in a flat piece of paper. By following a series of unique paper folding steps, participants will learn how to create and adapt patterns for dimensional faces. Along the way, Frechette will introduce Roser’s unified approach to construction and performance. As Roser theorized: “technique and art must serve expression.”

This is a great class for designer/builders, educators, paper art enthusiasts, and anyone interested in puppetry design and performance.
