FULL MOON PUPPET SHOW WORKSHOP: Possibilities of Matter
Poncili Creación’s workshop ‘Possibilities of Matter’ will focus on taking a different approach to the production and creation of ideas in our modern world, with the intent on delivering a crash course on object manipulation and the transformation of matter.
Every participant will have the opportunity to test new materials and unleash their creativity in an attempt to bring an idea from the mind into the 3D world.
Championing DIY culture and artistic risk, the brothers will explain how they see no limits when it comes to acquiring and transforming matter into objects that can come alive and interact with reality. Together, we will go through the steps of conceptualization, sketching, creating, and activating our soft sculptures. The ultimate goal is for you to learn the skills needed to bring an idea to life and create an example — be it a puppet, a tool against the apocalypse, or both. This is not a workshop directly intended for artists; we can all benefit from using our creativity more wisely.

Teaching Artist Bio
Poncili Creación is a performance duo based in Puerto Rico that focuses on creating foam rubber sculptures to be brought to life. These sculptures, created to be manipulated by the human body or parts of it, with some as small as a coin and others as large as cars, are tools for creating whimsical power that stains reality. In their ritual/shows they attempt thru a series of unorthodox methods to convince the audience that everything is possible.
