Explore all aspects of puppet painting in this 4-part series. Learn about material usage, shading for faces, paint application and techniques, theatrical painting, as well as color mixing and usage. Self guided projects with one on one instruction, all levels welcome!

Required Materials
Please be sure to assemble this list of materials in advance of the scheduled workshop session:
Acrylic Paint: cyan, magenta, cadmium yellow, white, black, raw umber, plus any specialty colors you'd like ie: gold, silver etc.
Golden's gloss medium (optional)
Sketch paper
Pencil
Eraser
Brushes – small, medium, large
Painters rag
Water jar
Palette (Tupperware & bucket lids work well for this)
Teaching Artist Bio
Sarah Eaton lives, works, and teaches in Portland OR. She received her MFA cum laude from Oregon College of Art and Craft in 2016, and attended the School of the Art institute of Chicago from 2000-2002, and received her BFA degree cum laude from Pacific Northwest college of art in 2005. She has shown her work nationally in galleries in Washington, Vermont, and multiple galleries throughout the Portland Metro Area. As a working artist and educator, Sarah has also worked in the Stop Motion Community as a Scenic Artist (GDT’s Pinochio, In The Know, Tiny Chef) and has worked collaboratively as a Studio Painter for large scale international puppetry projects (Disney, Universal, Wynn Casino, Broadway, and Cirque Du Soleil).
